ABOUT ME

Lontage D. Woods is a Cottonport, Louisiana native with over twenty years of experience working with children and families, from diverse backgrounds as an educator and family & youth advocate. Her community involvement includes serving as a Youth Director on the local and state level in faith-based youth organizations, volunteering at women and children shelters, and developing a student speech and debate group for an elementary charter school in Baton Rouge, La.

She is also a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) through the National Council of Family Relations (www.ncfr.org), which aligns with her credentials (see credentials page) and encompasses her passion for serving individuals and families from all walks of life. This became the catalyst for her consulting business: New Focus Family and Youth Consultant established in December 2021.
